AutomationsComing soon

Routines that run themselves. So you can focus on the important bits.

Reminders and recurring invoices already run. The Automations screen is coming soon.

Meet Billy. Your personal assistant.

Billy is the friendly ghost in the background of your back office. You won't see him at work: he quietly takes care of the reminders, the receipts and the recurring bits, and only shows up when something needs your OK.

Say it once and let Billy handle the rest.

Describe the job the way you would tell a colleague. Each one shows when it runs next, what it did last time, and a switch to pause it.

  • Every Friday at 16:00, remind the team to log their hours.
  • On the 1st of every month, invoice last month's hours for clients without a retainer. Ask me first.
  • Every Monday at 08:00, email Sandra last week's hours per client.

Billy asks before acting. You keep control.

  • Anything that needs your OK waits under To do, with approve and reject
  • An “Ask me before it acts” switch on every automation, on by default
  • Every run is kept in History, with its steps and result
  • Delete an automation and its past runs stay

Billy gets stuff done. Quietly and automated.

Automation questions

Payment reminders and recurring invoices already run on a schedule, and receipts are matched after you upload them. The Automations screen that gathers these in one place, and tasks you describe yourself, are coming soon.

Only if you allow it. Every automation has an “Ask me before it acts” switch, and it is on by default. Anything waiting for you appears under To do, where you approve or reject it.

You describe it in your own words, for example: every Friday at 16:00, remind the team to log their hours. Backbone turns that into a schedule you can pause, edit or delete at any time.

In History. Every run shows when it happened, the result and the steps it took. Runs that need you carry a button that takes you straight to the invoice, reminder or setting.

They stay in History. Deleting removes the schedule, not the record of what it did.

Coming soon, with no date yet. Until then the Product menu tags it Coming soon.
