Drop, adapt, done.
Drop in a month's statement as PDF or CSV. If a column is unclear, you tell Backbone once what it means, and the month is on file.
- Pick the account, the month and the year
- PDF statements are read for you; a CSV gets a column preview
- Rows it can't read are skipped and listed, nothing is guessed silently
Once a month is on file, its payments wait in Transactions for their receipts.
Two ways. Easy and easier.

- Backbone generates the monthly statement for you
- Most European banks supported
Statement questions
Statements as PDF or CSV, receipts as PDF or photo. A PDF statement is read automatically. For a CSV, Backbone guesses what each column means and shows you a preview when it is not sure.
It shows as a dashed tile marked Missing, and the line above the grid counts what is left to do. Click the tile to upload that month. Months that are not due yet stay greyed out.
Yes. Add each bank account or credit card once, with a name, IBAN and currency, and each gets its own row of months.
Not yet. Automatic connections with read-only access are coming soon. Until then you upload the statement your bank already gives you. Most European banks will be supported.
It is archived, not deleted. The account disappears from your lists and no longer expects statements, but its statements and imported transactions stay.
Owners, admins and the Bookkeeper role. Team members do not see bank transactions or statements, only the receipts they upload themselves.
